Deutsche Fassung weiter unten. / The German version follows below.

1. Who is responsible

We are the controller for the game itself. Advertising is delivered by Google (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC), which acts as an independent controller for that processing.

2. Short summary

  • Street Runner has no account, no login and no server of our own. Your game progress never leaves your device.
  • We do not run any analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDK of our own.
  • We show ads through Google AdMob (a banner and optional rewarded videos). AdMob may use your advertising identifier and technical device data to deliver and measure ads.
  • In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent first (Google-certified consent form, IAB TCF v2), and on iOS for App Tracking Transparency permission. You can change or withdraw both at any time.
  • The app requests no permissions for camera, microphone, contacts, files or precise location.

3. Data stored on your device

The game saves your progress locally using the operating system's app storage (shared preferences). This is not transmitted to us or anyone else:

  • high score, total coins, total runs and total distance run
  • unlocked characters and skins, and your current selection
  • purchased upgrade levels
  • sound on/off setting

This data stays on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. We cannot read, restore or delete it for you, because we never receive it.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app displays a banner ad and offers an optional rewarded video (one extra life per run). When an ad is requested, Google may collect and process:

  • your advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android; on iOS only if you allow tracking)
  • IP address and the approximate region derived from it
  • device and app information (device model, operating system and version, app version, language, screen properties)
  • ad interaction data (which ad was shown, when, whether it was clicked or completed)

Purposes: delivering ads, personalising ads (only with your consent), frequency capping, measuring ad performance, and preventing fraud and abuse.

If you deny tracking on iOS, the IDFA is not used; Google then serves non-personalised ads and may still use Apple's SKAdNetwork for aggregated install attribution.

Google's own information:

5. Consent, and how to withdraw it

EEA / UK / Switzerland: before any ad request, we show a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform (a Google-certified CMP, IAB TCF v2) which lists the purposes and the ad technology providers. No ad is requested until this is answered.

iOS 14.5+: after that consent message we ask for Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission, which controls whether your advertising identifier may be used.

Change or withdraw your choice at any time: open the main menu and tap the shield/privacy icon in the top bar. It reopens the privacy options form where you can edit or revoke every consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that happened before the withdrawal.

6. Legal bases (GDPR Art. 6)

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) – personalised advertising, ad measurement and any use of your advertising identifier.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) – running the game, showing non-personalised ads, and protecting against fraud, abuse and technical faults.
  • Contract / pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b)) – providing the game you downloaded, where applicable.

7. Recipients and international transfers

Ad data is processed by Google and by the ad technology providers named in the consent form. Some of these recipients are located outside the EEA, in particular in the United States. Such transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or EU Standard Contractual Clauses with additional safeguards.

8. Retention

  • On-device game data: until you delete it (uninstall or clear app data).
  • Advertising data: Google retains it according to its own retention periods, described in the Google Privacy Policy linked above.

9. Children

Street Runner is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that shared personal data, contact us at the project repository and we will help resolve it (for ad data, we will involve Google).

10. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access the personal data processed about you (Art. 15)
  • rectify inaccurate data (Art. 16)
  • erase data (Art. 17)
  • restrict processing (Art. 18)
  • data portability (Art. 20)
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)
  • withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3)) – use the in-app privacy options described in section 5
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence, work or the place of the alleged infringement

Because the game keeps no personal data on our side, requests about game progress are resolved on your own device (delete the app or clear its data). For advertising data, contact Google via the links in section 4 or open an issue in the project repository — we will forward your request to the relevant partner.

California (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell personal information for money. Cross-context behavioural advertising by ad partners can count as "sharing" under the CPRA; you can opt out by declining or withdrawing consent via the in-app privacy options form.

11. Security

All communication with Google's ad services is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). The game itself transmits nothing, so there is no server database of yours to breach. Local save data is protected by the operating system's app sandboxing.

12. Changes to this policy

If the app's data handling changes, we will update this policy and change the effective date above. Material changes will additionally be announced in the app or in the store listing.
