This privacy policy informs you about the processing of personal data when using the mobile application CodeView X (hereinafter: "App").

2. No Collection of Personal Data

CodeView X does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

The app is a local file editor and viewer. All files you open, create, or edit remain exclusively on your device. No data is transferred to servers or shared with third parties.

3. File Access

The app only accesses files that you explicitly select or create in folders you choose.

• Android
  The permissions READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, and MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE are required to read, save, and manage files.
• iOS
  Access to the document picker (iCloud Drive, local) may be requested to import and save files.

Important: The app does not store file contents on external servers. All operations take place exclusively locally.

4. Local Settings

The app uses shared_preferences to save your settings (e.g., theme, font size, recently opened files) locally on your device. This data is not read or transmitted.

5. Fonts

If you select custom fonts, they may be loaded from the internet via Google Fonts. In this case, Google's privacy policy applies. The app itself does not store any data about downloaded fonts.

6. Document Formats

To display PDF, Excel, and Word files, the libraries Syncfusion Flutter PDF and Syncfusion Flutter XLSIO are used. These process the files exclusively on your device. No file contents are transmitted to Syncfusion servers.

7. No Analytics, Advertising, or Tracking

• No analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking tools are used.
• There are no automated systems for collecting usage behavior.
• No cookies or similar technologies are used.

8. Security

Since all files and settings are stored exclusively locally, the security of your data is your own responsibility (e.g., through device lock, encryption).

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This privacy policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app or legal requirements. The current version is always available in the repository.
